Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of Mock API Studio, including the web dashboard, generated mock API definitions, documentation, account features, API token features, and local CLI or package runtime.

By creating an account, accessing the service, or using the package with a Mock API Studio account, you agree to these Terms. If you use Mock API Studio for a company or organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms on its behalf.

Mock API Studio helps developers design mock API resources, configure endpoint behavior, generate synthetic data, sync project definitions, and run a local mock API runtime.

The service is intended for development, prototyping, demos, testing, and similar non-production workflows. Mock API Studio is not intended to host production workloads, process regulated data, or replace a production API system.

• You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.
• You are responsible for safeguarding passwords, sessions, API tokens, CLI tokens, and local configuration files.
• You must notify us if you believe your account, token, project, or local runtime has been compromised.
• We may require email verification before enabling account access or certain product features.

Some features may be offered through paid plans. Plan limits, prices, included features, and billing periods will be shown in the product or checkout flow.

You may cancel a paid plan according to the cancellation controls available in the product or through the payment provider. Unless otherwise stated at checkout, cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund past charges.

• We may suspend paid features if payment fails, a subscription expires, or billing information cannot be verified.
• Taxes, payment processing, invoices, and refunds may be handled by third-party payment providers.
• Any refund policy displayed at checkout or required by law will control where applicable.

You retain ownership of the project names, schemas, shared types, endpoint paths, settings, relationships, auth configuration, and other content you submit to Mock API Studio.

You grant us a limited permission to store, process, transmit, display, and otherwise use your content only as needed to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.

• You are responsible for the content you submit.
• You must not upload content that you do not have rights to use.
• You should not submit real secrets, credentials, access tokens, private keys, production customer records, payment card data, health data, or other sensitive regulated data as mock content.

Mock API Studio may generate mock records, response examples, OpenAPI output, local runtime data, and similar synthetic material based on your project configuration.

Generated data is for development and testing. We do not guarantee that generated mock data is accurate, complete, secure, compliant, production-ready, or suitable for any specific business, legal, security, or regulatory purpose.

The Mock API Studio package may sync project definitions from your cloud account and run a local API server on your machine or environment. You are responsible for how and where you run that local runtime.

You must protect API tokens and avoid exposing local runtimes publicly unless you have evaluated and accepted the security risks.

• Do not commit API tokens or local credentials to source control.
• Do not expose a local runtime containing sensitive schemas or private configuration without proper controls.
• You are responsible for firewall rules, ports, deployment environments, logs, and generated local data.

You must follow our Acceptable Use Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts, revoke tokens, delete abusive content, throttle usage, or block access if we believe use of the service creates legal, security, infrastructure, or abuse risk.

• Do not use the service for illegal activity, malware, phishing, credential theft, spam, harassment, evasion, or abuse.
• Do not attempt to bypass authentication, authorization, rate limits, billing limits, subscription limits, or security controls.
• Do not use Mock API Studio to host, mirror, distribute, or facilitate prohibited content or abusive traffic.

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features. We may also perform maintenance or experience downtime.

Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, the service is provided without an uptime guarantee or service-level agreement.

Mock API Studio, including the product design, software, documentation, brand assets, logos, and platform materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

These Terms do not grant you ownership of Mock API Studio. You may use the service only as permitted by these Terms and any applicable license terms for the package or related software.

Mock API Studio may rely on third-party services such as hosting providers, database providers, email providers, payment processors, analytics services, and package registries.

We are not responsible for third-party services, outages, terms, policies, security practices, or changes.

The service is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and error-free operation.

You are responsible for validating whether Mock API Studio is appropriate for your intended use.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or security incidents arising from your use of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the service during the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or one hundred US dollars if you did not pay us during that period.

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create risk for the service or other users, fail to pay required fees, or use the service in a prohibited way.

After termination, we may delete or retain account data according to our Privacy Policy, legal obligations, backup practices, and legitimate security or abuse-prevention needs.

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we may notify you through the product, email, or another reasonable method. Continued use of the service after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.

For significant changes, we may require you to accept the updated Terms before continuing to use the service.
